Fernando Alonso is the most experienced driver on the F1 grid. The 43-year-old has raced in the sport for over two decades. However, the two-time world champion is not pleased with the way he has been portrayed by F1 recently.

During Abu Dhabi GP Free Practice, Alonso expressed his frustration on the team radio. The Spaniard’s comments swiftly made rounds on social media after being shown in the live coverage. On the other hand, positive comments made by Fernando Alonso are rarely depicted.

The two-time world champion claimed that Formula One Management (FOM) only wants to show his negative side as a ‘grumpy guy.’ Alonso highlighted that the sport has tried this for several years, but this alleged plan would never get successful.

Alonso highlighted that it was normal for drivers to get frustrated over bad traffic in sessions. The Aston Martin driver emphasized that he said good as well as bad comments. However, FOM decided to select only negative remarks. Though, Fernando Alonso accepted that it was part of their job.

It was bad traffic, it was a frustration building but as usual, some comments are good, some comments are bad but FOM has this fix with me with bad comments but, I’m happy with that, this is their job.

Fernando Alonso stated

The Spanish driver will be hoping for a less frustrating outing on Sunday at Yas Marina. Alonso needs a positive result to end a woeful 2024 campaign for Aston Martin. However, it remains to be seen how things pan out for the Silverstone-based team.
