Max Verstappen produced a sensational 2024 F1 season under extremely challenging situations. He amassed his fourth consecutive world championship and following the massive applause he has received from all over the world, his father Jos Verstappen is also incredibly proud.
Max Verstappen amassed an impressive nine Grand Prix wins with an inconsistent RB20. He was strongly challenged by McLaren’s Lando Norris, but despite this, he was able to hold off the fast Brit through the 2024 campaign.

However, at the end of it all, the 27-year-old stayed focused and amassed another world championship.

While Jos Verstappen is immensely pleased with his son’s 2024 exploits, he has also taken the time to talk about the latter’s future. The four-time world champion is currently contracted to Red Bull until the end of 2028.
A lot also depends on what happens here at Red Bull. Look, if they can do it again next year and we are at the front, then Max will just stay.

The 2025 F1 season could prove to be a make-or-break year for Red Bull as far as holding onto Verstappen is concerned. The 27-year-old has several teams waiting in the wings to get an opportunity to sign him in the coming years.
Mercedes and Aston Martin were in the headlines during the 2024 season regarding a potential swoop of Verstappen for 2026. Red Bull stalwart Adrian Newey will dawn the green of the Silverstone-based team from next year onwards and this could tempt Verstappen to join the team.
