Red Bull gives ‘difficult to find performance’ verdict ahead of much-anticipated 2025 F1 season
Red Bull could be in for an extremely tough campaign during the 2025 Formula 1 season.

The Red Bull Formula 1 team shockingly lost out on the 2024 Constructors’ Championship. The RB20 proved to be incredibly inconsistent and ahead of next year’s campaign, things are not looking extremely rosy.
The 2025 F1 season is the last year of the ground-effect regulations. All the top teams are expected to fight for the world championship. Amidst this, Red Bull technical director Pierre Wache has given a tough verdict.
He believes it will be difficult for the Milton-Keynes-based team to find performance with the RB21.
The RB20 proved difficult to handle during the 2024 F1 season. Both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez had an extremely tough time getting to grips with the car. The latter especially, found it extremely challenging and was ultimately, sacked after the season.
Red Bull had an extremely ‘frustrating’ time in the 2024 F1 season
While Pierre Wache has asserted his team will face challenges in extracting performance out of the RB21 in 2025, he has deemed this year’s campaign as ‘frustrating’. Red Bull ended the campaign in third place in the standings behind Ferrari and McLaren.
This happened even when Verstappen was able to amass the driver’s title for the fourth consecutive time.
The ground-effect has majorly belonged to the Red Bull F1 team. However, in 2024 there were quite a few teams who were able to push them at some point during the fiercely competitive season.
Verstappen will have a new teammate in the form of Liam Lawson for the 2025 F1 season. Keeping this in view, it will be fascinating to see how well they would be able to work together to push Red Bull in the right direction.
