Tim Henman predicts who will win the 2025 Australian Open men’s and women’s singles

Ahead of the 2025 Australian Open, which begins on January 12, several players have been touted as favorites to win the title. In a recent interview British tennis legend Tim Henman predicted who will win the men’s and women’s Grand Slam singles titles in Melbourne.
In January 2024, Jannik Sinner claimed his first career Grand Slam title after defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final. In women’s singles, Aryna Sabalenka became a two-time champion of the event. However, several players have proven that they will be a big challenger for the title next year.
On the men’s side, Carlos Alcaraz, who is a four-time major champion, is seeking to become the youngest man to complete a Career Slam in Melbourne. Also, Novak Djokovic is seeking his 11th Australian Open. He recently made Andy Murray his coach. On the women’s side, Iga Swiatek will aim to win her maiden AO title. Coco Gauff, Jasmine Paolini, and Qinwen Zheng are in the race to claim the trophy too.
Tim Henman revealed that Sabalenka would have to work on her serve to retain the title next year. He added that Djokovic partnership with Murray will make the tournament interesting for fans.
The Australian Open has always been an event players look forward to as they hope to start the year on a good note. And that is the reason Djokovic has already announced that he will feature at the Brisbane International as a warm-up for the event.
British legend hopes Jack Draper gets 100% fit following his latest injury
Jack Draper enjoyed the best season of his career so far in 2024. The British star won his maiden ATP title at the Stuttgart Open and ended the year with another title at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna. Draper finished the year as World No.15.
However, Draper was supposed to train with Carlos Alcaraz, but he recently pulled out after sustaining a hip injury. Tim Henman revealed during the aforementioned interview that Draper need to get back to a 100 percent fitness level.
Draper has been tipped to take over from Andy Murray in British men’s tennis, but he will have to do it with less at this young age. Hopefully, he can be back from injury before the Australian Open.
