Jannik Sinner bore no fault or negligence in the verdict given by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA). Despite the verdict, Sinner can’t heave a sigh of relief due to the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) appeal.
The WADA appealed before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to demand a ban on the Italian. The entire thing, as per former doubles No.1 Emilio Sanchez has ruined Sinner’s image as he hopes the 23-year-old once again defends his case.
The ITIA published the report in August, a few days before the start of the US Open. He was at the receiving end of criticism but despite all the noise, he clinched the title at Flushing Meadows and lifted two more trophies (at the Shanghai Masters and the ATP Finals). Sanchez lauded him for his mentality.
CAS hearing on Sinner’s case is in February which means Sinner will have the chance to defend the Australian Open, where in 2024, he won his first Major.
Mats Wilander makes bold Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz predictions for 2025 season
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner dominated the 2024 season as both of them won two majors each. Ahead of the start of the 2025 season, predictions for the major events have started and Mats Wilander made a bold prediction when he said Alcaraz and Sinner may end up winning the calendar Grand Slam.
Alcaraz has clinched four Majors and if he wins at the Australian Open, then he’ll complete the career Grand Slam. Sinner on the other hand hasn’t yet won the French Open and Wimbledon.
