It’s time to get the cars out of impound and unfreeze the assets. The man deserves his freedom back, as Khabib Nurmagomedov is out of the crosshairs of the Federal Tax Service. The former UFC lightweight champion came under fire from a $3 million debt levy by the Russian tax authorities. However, recent reports suggest that his worries might be over.

Recent reports and cousin Usman Nurmagomedov suggest it. According to a report by mma.metarating.ru/MASH, ‘Eagle’ reportedly owed $3.3 million in taxes to the Federal Tax Service. Additionally, with one-time fighter Ghadzimurad Kagirov having links to his gym and being KIA in an anti-terror op, Khabib’s assets were frozen. During a recent Bellator media call, Usman revealed everything.

For us, this is gift from God...People like Khabib, this guy is like, you cannot find like this guy like around you. This is so hard to find some someone like Khabib. He support us so much, he’s helping. And he know everything about MMA like nobody know. And when he in camp this is different, like everything is different, you’re feeling different.

There were also alleged reports that Khabib Nurmagomedov had fled the country and was scouting for UAE citizenship to avoid the Gulag. ‘Notorious’ rival Conor McGregor had jumped the gun to diss him on it. Nurmagomedov, 35, although retired from combat sports, recently resurfaced to corner friends and family. Moreover, it seems like business as usual.

According to a new report from the Telegram channel SHOT ( ›telecomasia.net/news) columnist Marina Magomedova writes that Khabib paid off his debts to the Federal Tax Service (FTS). The amount of approximately 3.4 million dollars will no longer trouble the ‘Eagle.’ It appears everyone hoping for Nurmagomedov’s MMA return will remain disappointed.

What’s next for the Khabib MMA Empire?

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s debt proportion of a $3.3M tax debt block would have surely stalled the progress of his empire. He has maintained brand-value sponsorship deals with names like SAN Nutrition, Mike Constantine’s AMA Fight Club, and Training Mask. Concurrently, he has diverted much of his earnings to Al Firdaus Residence and Halal Complex in Turkey, which came under fire for irregular documentation during the tax block.

His Eagles MMA Gym produces top Dagestani standouts and undefeated seeds. That also would have come under fire, leading to blocking accounts associated with his promotion. AKA peers, cousins, and team insider (Dominant MMA management CEO) Ali Abdelaziz nudged the situation was never so dire. But every step and decision was scrutinized and perceived as a hail mary. Nurmagomedov buying rival Dustin Poirier’s kit for $30,000 in a charity auction also came under some scrutiny.

Some have questioned the accuracy of the reports. Some have speculated about the impact on Khabib’s future when the former UFC champ lost access. However, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s debt woes are over as he has paid off the amount to the Russian Federal Tax Service (FTS), totaling 302 million rubles ($3,398,000). Speaking on the Helen Yee Sports YouTube channel, Javier Mendez has informed coach Khabib will corner fights again from now on. As such, the empire will go on as planned.
