The former UFC lightweight champion came under fire from a $3 million debt levy by the Russian tax authorities. However, recent reports suggest that his worries might be over.

Recent reports and cousin Usman Nurmagomedov suggest it. According to a report by mma.metarating.ru/MASH, ‘Eagle’ reportedly owed $3.3 million in taxes to the Federal Tax Service. Additionally, with one-time fighter Ghadzimurad Kagirov having links to his gym and being KIA in an anti-terror op, Khabib’s assets were frozen.
