Conor McGregor has long been one of the most prominent and captivating figures in the UFC. Over the years, the Irishman has engaged in various activities that have drawn reactions from other notable individuals in the sport. Recently, popular UFC commentator Joe Rogan spoke out to comment on McGregor’s ongoing troubles.
The ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor has recently been found liable in a s*xual assault civil case by a high court in Dublin. In addition to facing significant monetary damages, McGregor’s public relations reputation has also suffered greatly. Recently, Joe Rogan spoke out about the Irishman’s ongoing troubles and mentioned one of the contributing factors to his current challenges.
Interestingly, the UFC commentator is not the only one reacting to McGregor’s ongoing troubles. In recent weeks, several UFC fighters and analysts have voiced their opinions on the Irishman’s legal issues. Among the various criticisms, Rogan provided a unique perspective, attributing McGregor’s difficulties to his excessive partying.
Furthermore, the UFC commentator pointed out that the Irishman himself admitted to using cocaine during court proceedings. Rogan discussed how fighters often deal with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).
In McGregor’s case, he has frequently participated in intense sparring sessions with elite fighters. Given that getting hit in the head is common in this sport, Rogan believes McGregor may be experiencing difficulties as a result. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the UFC commentator has addressed McGregor’s recent downline trajectory as a fighter.
Joe Rogan believes Conor McGregor ‘self-destructed’ himself
Conor McGregor has undoubtedly established a strong reputation as a fighter in the UFC. Known for his outspoken and charismatic personality, McGregor has achieved significant success throughout his career. However, his recent performance in the promotion raised concerns. The Irishman has lost three out of his last four fights. His most recent bout took place at UFC 264 in 2021 against Dustin Poirier.
Since his last fight, McGregor has not returned to the UFC octagon. During this time, the Irishman’s activities have raised concerns within the MMA community, with many claiming that he is far from ready to compete. Interestingly, Rogan has also commented on McGregor’s behavior. He stated that the Irishman’s hunger for money has distracted him from his career.
Rogan specifically mentioned McGregor’s boxing match against Floyd Mayweather in 2017. According to the UFC commentator, the Irishman earned significant payouts from that fight, which now support his lavish lifestyle. Rogan believes that all this newfound wealth has diminished McGregor’s drive and hunger for the sport.
