Like husband like wife! Former NFL star Jason Kelce’s wife Kylie is winning the podcast game as her new ‘Not Gonna Lie’ podcast not only went viral but dethroned the popular The Joe Rogan Experience from the top spot on Spotify charts.

For most of her marriage to the former Philadelphia Eagles legend, Kylie has preferred staying away from the spotlight. But after he retired from the league, she ventured into starting a podcast last week, whose debut episode broke records with a viewer count of 600,000 on YouTube.

Joe Rogan’s utter dominance in the podcasting scene seems to have been challenged by Kylie’s rise, which has likely unsettled him after years of unparalleled success in the global podcast rankings. Thanks to his exclusive deal with Spotify, he rarely had experienced competition for the top spot– until now.

Kylie’s achievement is more notable considering the recent surge of Rogan’s podcast popularity, which spiked last month when he interviewed President-elect Donald Trump, as the episode gathered a massive 52 million views on YouTube. Despite having one of the most influential podcasts in the world, Kylie surpassed Rogan within a week of her new podcast launch.

Kylie Kelce’s candid approach in her new podcast

Kylie’s success in the podcasting landscape came swiftly after her husband Jason’s grand success with his podcast, New Heights, which he hosts alongside his brother, Travis Kelce. Due to the immense popularity of Travis’ girlfriend and pop star Taylor Swift, their podcast broke records and secured a lucrative $100 million deal

However, Kylie’s reason for starting her own show was not influenced by Swift’s popularity or the potential for financial gain. Instead, the former athlete wanted to connect with the audience directly, providing a platform to have a conversation amid the myriad speculations surrounding her and her family.

I decided to start this because, quite frankly, I was sick of hearing all the speculation and tabloid articles, all the nonsense and noise and I figured why not just come out and have a conversation with you guys myself?

Kylie Kelce said on her podcast

She wants to engage with the audience directly and that’s why, she does not wish to bring in guests to engage with on her show. Whether be it her parenting style, entertainment, or sports, Kylie wants to have an unfiltered conversation with her viewers. Hence, she’s ‘not gonna lie.’
