Regarding his losses, four of them have come by submission. He had two submission losses before coming to the UFC. Khabib and Nate Diaz submitted McGregor in the UFC. He has a knockout loss in his career. It came against Dustin Poirier in 2021. His other loss came against Poirier as he broke his leg in the first round of their trilogy fight.

  • Conor McGregor lost his debut in Cage Warriors, making everyone doubt the Irishman. He left the promotion in 2013 as its featherweight and lightweight champion. He submitted Dave Hill to become the featherweight champion and knocked out Ivan Buchinger to win the lightweight championship.
  • McGregor defeated Chad Mendes at UFC 189 to win the interim-featherweight title. He competed against Jose Aldo in December 2015 to unify the featherweight titles. McGregor claimed the Undisputed gold after knocking Aldo out in a record 13 seconds. The record remains unbroken even to this day.  
  • McGregor fought lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in 2016. He fought in the main event of the Madison Square Garden card and defeated Alvarez in the second round. With the win, McGregor became the UFC’s first-ever dual-weight or double champion.
