The Golden State Warriors faced the Los Angeles Clippers for the second time this 2024-25 NBA season. This victory marked the Clippers’ fifth consecutive home win.
What has garnered significant attention online, however, is how the Warriors lost this game. They committed 19 turnovers and missed 10 free throws, critical mistakes that cost them dearly. In the final moments, the Warriors had opportunities to send the game into overtime but failed to capitalize. Stephen Curry missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer, followed by another missed attempt from Gary Payton II in the last seconds. The sequence left Dub Nation visibly frustrated with the outcome.

Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors with 26 points, while Andrew Wiggins contributed 22. Despite a promising start, with Lindy Waters III‘s early 3-pointer giving them their only lead, the Warriors found themselves trailing by three points in the closing minutes. This loss ended their three-game winning streak, leaving Curry and his teammates frustrated as they suffered their second defeat to the Clippers this season.
On the Clippers’ side, Norman Powell led with 23 points, while Ivica Zubac recorded eight points and an impressive 17 rebounds. James Harden contributed 12 points and 16 assists. The Clippers’ defense, however, stole the spotlight with clutch plays in the final moments, effectively shutting down Curry and Wiggins in the paint and securing the hard-fought victory.
Stephen Curry and James Harden share wholesome moment ahead of their game
Los Angeles Clippers star James Harden recently achieved an incredible feat, surpassing Ray Allen to claim the second spot on the NBA’s all-time 3-point shooting list. Harden, alongside Stephen Curry, both 2009 NBA draft picks, shared a special moment celebrating their places atop the 3-point scoring leaderboard before the Golden State Warriors faced off against the Clippers.
The Warriors’ official account shared a post on X, where the two legends of the game were seen sharing a wholesome moment with each other. The Warriors captioned the post, ‘Game recognize game.’

Harden entered this game just 25 three-pointers shy of reaching the remarkable milestone of 3,000 made threes. Surpassing that number will undoubtedly be his next target, and he’s likely to achieve it before the year ends, barring any injuries or setbacks. As Harden continues to make history, all eyes will be on him and the Clippers as they build momentum heading deeper into the season.
